I still want dance to be a HUGE part of my life and career but i also want to make a steady living! I love the cooperate world :]. What IS Ballroom Dancing?

I never understood it, and I don’t know anything about it, but it looks so beautiful! I mean, I know there are 10 styles of dance in the International, but are there any specified steps for them, or do you just follow a specific style for each? Because, I noticed at compeitions, couples were all doing different stuff even if they were all performing the same dance. Could someone explain each type of dance to me?
Also, where do you get the costumes? Are they custom-made or bought at shops? Just really curious. I just don’t understand this world of ballroom dancing, and if anyone could clear it up for me, I’d greatly appreciate it!
