Does It Bug You at a Dance/Wedding When a Couple Does Ballroom-Type Dancing While Others Are Dancing Normally?

I don’t mean that they’re taking up the whole floor and getting in everyone’s way doing lifts and fancy steps…just that they look a bit professional and know how to do some specific dance steps.
I’m asking as a person who has taken some dance lessons and will be attending a colleague’s wedding next month. Definitely not jealous…I love watching others dance ballroom/latin steps in any situation as long as they’re not impinging on other dancers.

No that doesn’t bother me. Why take dance lesson if you are never allowed to show them off?? As long as they aren’t hogging the dance floor, who cares?? Sounds like a jealousy thing to me. I usually admire these people and let them enjoy themselves.
Oh my my. Do we detect a bit of “green-eyed monster” here?
I’m not a dancer, but personally, I love to watch someone do graceful – and proper – dance steps to music. It’s so much more beautiful than watching a bunch of clod-hopping folks standing still and gyrating.
How about signing up for an Arthur Murray class yourself?
I personally like seeing that. It allow me to mimic some of their steps too
Ballroom type dancing IS dancing normally. And it’s more fun!
Absolutely not! To each his own. Dancing is dancing! Whatever method you are using the music to interupt it. Weddings are met to be fun. You might learn something in the meantime too. Dance your heart out!
