What I did was go to a club and just take a look around at the people dancing. I choose a person who’s style I liked and tried to copy it. So far I’m an o.k dancer. :) Good luck.

Best way is to move your body to the beat of the music. Or you could dance like a one legged white boy (LOL loved that last post LOL!!!) Just have fun your at a party. Good luck to ya!

I am a generic dancer. I can dance several styles without mastering any. This makes people think that I am a good dancer. In my honest opinion anyone can dance. No one can have the excuse of not having any rhythm unless they cut out their hearts. Remember less is more. Before attempting to dance like Michael Jackson or any MTV dancers just practice moving rhythmically. Really listen to the music before you start dancing to it. Here is a good way to start: Take out your favorite hip hop CD and listen to th center of the beat. Tap your foot to that beat. Now the movements of your body MUST fit with that beat. Now stand and repeat that exercise but this time don’t tap your feet. Use your butt or arms to illustrate the beat instead of foot tapping.Look at yourself in the mirror and make sure you are listening to the music and identify the beat at all times. Do this through the entire song, don’t change anything if you look good. If you don’t look good, start the CD all over and redo this exercise. Once this exercise is mastered, then do it again but this time add your feet. Don’t tap them, move them one foot at a time. Move your left foot to your left and tape. Right foot to the right and tap. Your goal isn’t to overdo it.You must feel comfortable with your own rhythm. This is just basic steps that I use all the time. No matter how music changes, you can do this and people will think that you have your own natural rhythm. Last piece of advice, make sure that you HEAR the music and pay no attention to anyone watching you.

I find this the funniest question i have ever heard in a long time…i did need the laugh!!!!

    Now to be serious……Dancing

first of all…..NO two people dances the same! dancing consists of rhythm and brain work…..really, and should be fun, if its not fun, then why bother do it, right?

if you honestly want to learn how to dance…..all you have to do is listen to the beat of the music….that’s the drum beat. relax your self and just go with the flow and eventually you will get into the rhythm, what you can also do is to watch others dance and just try and keep the beat with them (that’s if they can dance).
Also try listening to all different types of music….this will help to broaden your mind on different beats, rhythms and harmonies. what you really need to do is just relax your body and let the music take you away…..
and if none of that helps go and try and take a dance class. i would recommend a “basic modern class”. this class teaches you how to move all parts of your body differently while including rhythm and beat, and good for those who have no rythm at all and in turn teaches you how to control your body totally…. weather its walking, running, or dancing!!!!

Good Luck and go out there and dance your butt off
(every one can dance….you just have to find your rythm)
