I’m 13 and i want to take ballroom dancing lessons, you know mambo, foxtrot… how long does it usually take to get sorta good? you know when you can show other people and not totally screw it up! ( and look good doing it at the same time.) ???

    if you can keep the beat and have fun then the rest is pretty easy. if you mess up, dont focus on that cuz it throws u off even more, just keep on going. if you listen to the music, like reaaaaallllyyy listen to it( not just hear it) then you should kno how to move around with not a lot of practice

    and dont try to get the dance perfect just listen to the music and move around how you think you should move around

    In your first year, you won’t wow any long-term ballroom dancers, but you can impress everybody else much more quickly, even in a matter of weeks.

    It depends on your ability and how quickly you pick things up. I’d say at least 6 months to a year.
