This is a very mediocre Salsa Dance DVD and the price is too high. For starters, the colors used in filming this DVD are very depressing and this guy (the instructor) would not shut up … you can’t even hear the music. All you hear is one two three, one two threee …

After going over and mastering the style and movements from Vol. 1, you have been promoted to Step 2. This one includes some rather intricate dance moves. You will learn the “Inside Turn,” which can be done a number of ways; the “Hammerlock,” “Cross Body Lead” and other moves. The speed is increased and Evan once again dances with the beautiful Moira Denike. They are both delightful to watch, listen to and learn from.
I like the inclusion of etiquette in dance venues and the importance of hygiene. After an intense bout of dancing, expect to sweat. Evan and Moira provide gently worded suggestions and tips regarding same. If you are serious about learning the Salsa, you can’t find better than Evan and Moira.

My friend once told me that if you wanna feel good and sexy try salsa. I completely agree with her now, of cos then I thot salsa wasn’t my cup of tea. This dance seemed very complicated and I always had the impression that only real good dancers would be able to do salsa.
M glad I changed my mind and bought this wonderful DVD for beginners, the steps are so well defined and pictured that you would find them so easy to catch. The instructors make Salsa dancing all the more fun; they are so peppy and lively that anyone who sees them dance would be mesmerized by their moves and rhythm. You can watch the steps from all angles as they are shot in all dimensions.
There is nothing more romantic then a fast salsa dance with your sweetheart but are you up to it? If you have never tried it and you are afraid, time to shed any inhibition the ultimate guide to Salsa is here. This is a great purchase for beginners and for all those who want to learn salsa at home.
Highly recommendable!

I had my doubts about being able to learn to dance from a DVD. I just didn’t think it would be motivating. The stack of exercise DVD gathering dust by my entertainment center can attest to my affinity for tape-inspired motivation…or should I say lack thereof. But, I’ve been going strong with this DVD for a full 5 weeks now. I actually enjoy it. I don’t know if it’s because of the music or the patterns or what but it’s working for me and keeping me active daily. Exercise under the `guise of dancing. Who knew all this time I just needed a great Salsa DVD.

I used to salsa when I was a kid. My best friend’s Mom taught us so I knew the basics but this DVD was perfect for me. A refresher, if you will, `cause it was a bit of review of what I already knew which was good. I had forgotten quite a lot. But the coolest thing about it was that it wasn’t boring. Not your garden variety “do step 1, step 2, step 3, repeat”. I mean it’s an instructional DVD so there’s some repetition but the instructors kept it really interesting. I even picked up a couple moves to try out at Salsa night this weekend.
