How Difficult Is It to Learn Ballroom Dancing?

A lot of people have told me that because I didn’t start dancing at a young age, I’ll never be any good. I really want to start dancing and I’m going on seventeen. Is it too late to start? How much time needs to be put into it? What is your opinion?

Is It Difficult to Learn Ballroom Dancing From an Instructional DVD?

I’m not a professional dancer but would like to learn simple ballroom dancing. How helpful will a DVD lesson be? I don’t want to spend too much on an instructor.
