I Have a Crush on This Girl. What Are the Next Steps?

I am a college freshman, and I have a crush on this girl I met at Ballroom Dancing Club practices. We have danced and talked only twice, but I know she is the girl I want; she is not certainly one of the hottest girls you can find at my school, but she has a beautiful smile, is intellectual, and is very nice. I think I am really into this girl, and i would like to ask her out sometime next week or the week after. I am Asian, and the fact that most white girls don’t consider asian dudes to be datable kinda makes me lose my confidence. However, I am willing to ask her out before it’s too late. I wanna do it properly at the proper time so that I can maximize my chance of getting hooked up with her. When is the best time of asking her out, and what I should I be doing until the time comes? ok im in the edudance competition this year and i just want to know etiiqute of ballroom dancing how to impress the judges ect. the dances we are doing are tango, foxtrot, rumba, waltz, east coast swing, cha cha, merengue(pretty easy not much help needed on merengue)

I Forget Steps and Make Mistakes a Lot?

I want to learn ballroom dancing so that I can dance with my boyfriend. He is trying to teach me and he has been patient, but I wonder for how long? I worry that he will start to get annoyed because we go over and over dance steps and I will get it down pat after several tries, but then when we come back later to practice even the simpler dances, I forget steps and make mistakes. How do I remedy this? Why can’t I just get it? Does it just take lots and lots of practice?
