Difference Between Ballroom Dance, Lindy Hop, and Swing Dance? ?

What is the difference in their style, step count, etc.?
Also I took a swing lesson (east coast) the other day and they kept saying it was based on a “6 count step” but when you move you feet right, left, rock-step, repeat, it only seems like 3 counts…?
